Have you heard about Toxic Algae and Grand lake St. Mary? Wonder what all the hub bub is about? Here is an opportunity to see firsthand and it’s free! The next meeting of the Great Miami River Watershed Network will be our annual fall BMP tour. This is a great opportunity to step just a bit outside the GMR watershed and tour some of the projects underway to improve water quality at Grand Lake St. Mary’s. Please put this great tour on your calendars today and be sure to join in with the network as Joe Pfeiffer and Milt Miller take us through the plans for the lake and show us projects in place to improve water quality.
The meeting starts at noon on October 18, 2013 at the Wright State University Lake Campus: 7600 Lake Campus Drive, Celina, OH 45822. Mr. Pfeiffer and Mr. Miller will provide an overview of the lake management plans. There will be an opportunity to see three projects: the in-lake “Airy-Gators”, the Prairie Creek Treatment Train, and then the Prairie Creek Littoral Wetlands.
